Lori and Wayne were invited to attend graduation for the class Esther would’ve graduated with. All of the seniors wore Esther bracelets in her memory! They also got to meet Kris, the recipient of the first Esther Earl memorial scholarship, who is using the money to become a chef!

Alexa, the creator of the TSWGO bracelets, recently did this to her wall.
So I have an idea…
This is just an idea; I don’t have anything set yet, but I’m just tossing this out there to see if this would be anything you guys would be interested in.
So you know the charity This Star Won’t Go Out, right? (If not, you can check out the website here: http://tswgo.org/ ) Well, it helps out families with children who have cancer. Well, ever since the Project For Awesome, I’ve been thinking about how lucky I am and how there are so many people out there who need help. I want to help them.
So, I might be getting some money for Christmas (not sure if I am, or how much I’ll be getting if I do get any) and I was thinking what better way to spend it than giving it to a charity that I really care about?
But then I got to thinking: how can I make this a little more interactive with you guys? Then it hit me. So you know those little origami stars that look like this?
I was thinking that I would open it up to you guys and ask you to make some of these stars and get really creative with it, and for every star made I would donate 10 cents of my money to the charity up to whatever amount I get for Christmas. And you guys could post photos of your stars and I could pick the ones that are the most creative and maybe have a whole blog dedicated to it or something awesome like that.
So would this be something you guys are interested in? I want to donate no matter what, but I just think this could add some extra fun to it. I would really appreciate some feedback! Thanks and DFTBA!

“And I thought, hello, new shoes / Bye bye them blues / Take me wandering through these streets / Where bright lights and angels meet.”
I made myself some starry Nerdfighter shoes today. I have had a horrible-terrible-no-good-very-bad week so far, and was forgetting to be awesome. These should remind me. On the other sides they say, “Nerdfighters!” “This star won’t go out” and “There is no edge to the universe” (ok so I took some liberties. Sorry, Hank. “Dude, no edge” didn’t talk about the universe, and I wanted to tie it in to the star theme).

My “This Star Won’t Go Out” bracelet came in the mail this morning, and I think it goes great with my new TFIOS tattoo (which is still healing by the way, so apologies for the scabby grossness).
Anyway, if you don’t have a TSWGO bracelet, you should definitely buy one. All of the proceeds go to the This Star Won’t Go Out foundation, a foundation that helps out families of children with cancer.
