I found it very touching and I think the nerdfighters should see it :)

It’s a song the Youtuber Troye Sivan wrote after he read TFIOS and it is very nicely done (well in my opinion ^^)

DFTBA Renée

If y’all haven’t heard Troye’s TFIOS song yet, you are truly missing out.

A music video for the Look at Hank’s Face song that Hank and Ethan Newberry cooked up around 2 AM during last year’s Project for Awesome.

Thank you so, so much for this.

I made this for myself (because I love this quote… I live this quote). But I thought I’d post it here in case it applies to you too.
The quote is from the book Will Grayson, Will Grayson.

Hey all!
We are very excited to let you know that Hank Green has written and recorded a song with Danny Weinkauf (musician, composer, and bassist for They Might Be Giants).
The song is called “The Kidney That Lived In Four People” (about a true story!) and will be released on Danny’s forthcoming debut children’s album No School Today as a bonus track. The album, out April 29th, is “packed with 16 catchy and memorable tunes that cover topics from marsupials to archaeology, spelling bees, voting rights, the four food groups, and even a song about Ben Folds!” It will be available for purchase on both iTunes and Amazon.
As an enormous TMBG fan myself, I can only imagine how exciting and mind-blowing this experience must have been for Hank.
Snippets of the album’s songs and more information can be found at dannyweinkauf.com. And if you have no idea who Danny Weinkauf or They Might Be Giants are, PLEASE educate yourself!

TFIOS Musical Help!

Fellow nerdfighters!

I’m looking for some music-y and write-ing type help! I really love all the various TFIOS and Vlogbrothers fan art that’s out there, but art’s not really my forte, so I thought I’d have a crack at a TFIOS-based musical. All just for fun of course! Having had a few, aborted starts, I’ve realised this is absolutely something I can’t do alone - I just don’t have all the necessary skills, plus it would be more fun with other people :)

I have some ideas, but I’m pretty open to anything. I (think I’m) good at big picture and direction planning stuff, and have fun with little details - but I can’t write lyrics, or scenes. I can write music in pretty much what ever genre we need though, so that’s a bonus.

If you’d like to talk, or be a part of something like this, email me at coolerthancute@gmail.com

Thanks!

xNicole

fantasticallyuninteresting:

My sister and I wrote a song for The Fault in Our Stars.
(spoilers: just in case)

—-
A desert blessing an ocean curse
You stood by me through the worst
The darkest clouds were on the rise
But I had still Waters by my side

An Affliction, Imperial
and a zeal, evangelical
They took us far and brought us close
But you know how that story goes

While it feels like I’m drowning
And it feels like I’m drifting away
I may try to find a Fault in Our Stars
But I know they’re not to blame
And we’re gonna be Okay.

I’m like a boat full of water
grateful to float a while longer
I lost my Grace when I lost you
But I like my choices, you know I do.

So while it feels like I’m drowning
And it feels like I’m drifting away
I may try to find a Fault in Our Stars
But I know they’re not to blame
And we’re going to be Okay

Yeah I know they’re not to blame
And we’re gonna be okay

(I’m terribly sorry for the quality but I recorded this on an iPad. I just really wanted to share it.)

The beautiful song is beautiful.
