“Before I got here, I thought for a long time that the way out of the labyrinth was to pretend that it did not exist, to build a small, self-sufficient world in the back corner of the endless maze and to pretend that I was not lost, but home.”

Melissa submitted:
“And I thought, hello, new shoes / Bye bye them blues / Take me wandering through these streets / Where bright lights and angels meet.”I made myself some starry Nerdfighter shoes today. I have had a horrible-terrible-no-good-very-bad week so far, and was forgetting to be awesome. These should remind me. On the other sides they say, “Nerdfighters!” “This star won’t go out” and “There is no edge to the universe” (ok so I took some liberties. Sorry, Hank. “Dude, no edge” didn’t talk about the universe, and I wanted to tie it in to the star theme).

This is my 5 year old brother. I was reading Looking for Alaska while we were waiting for our food to arrive and he asked me what it was. I then tried to teach him the Nerdfighter sign and this was the result. D.F.T.B.A. little brother :D

Looking For Alaska Fanart, watercolor.Thomas Edison’s last words were ‘It’s very beautiful over there.’ I don’t know where there is, but I believe it’s somewhere, and I hope it’s beautiful.
